AES INSTRUCTIONS & UPDATES 01/17/09

AES tried to provide additional functionality in respect to player jersey number. This feature is causing confusion. I need your help getting the word out to club directors. We will be making updates to how the Preferred Jersey # functions but in the meantime, please have club directors:
- Login click Players
- Click Export Comma
- Select Save then open file. It will be a list of your players.
- Use this file to insert Jersey Number (column M). Position, height, and handed are also very important to college coaches – feel free to add. Save File.
- In AES Click Import Players – select the file you just updated, put a check mark in the 'File has header row' – click Validate Import File.
- It will provide a note that X number of records are ready for import/updating, SCROLL DOWN, CLICK SUBMIT DATA.
- All of your player records will be update with jersey # and other data added.
- *Wednesday evening AES will perform a massive behind the scenes update that will apply ALL the updated data to ALL EVENT ROSTERS (Jersey #'s…etc).
- *** This export / import will NOT affect clubs that used USAV's Data Import (Webpoint). It will add to these player records
- ****Definition of preferred jersey #: the # a player is throughout the entire season. Jersey # field on the event roster are for those players that play on a different team for a specific event or more common get pulled up to a team for JO's. More information to follow in this, basically we will add another column to the event roster for these scenarios.
