USA Volleyball (USAV) www.usavolleyball.org USA Volleyball - Website Login (FOR CLUB/TEAM MANAGEMENT) CLICK HERE TO LOGIN	TOURNAMENT RESULTS ADULTS DESCRIPTION OF THE IREVA RANKINGS PROCESS AND THE POINT SYSTEM: The purpose of this system is to give teams feedback on where they stand vs. their competitors; to provide data for rating teams [being sure they are playing at the proper level]; to provide data for use in seeding teams for Tournament Directors, and especially for the Regional Championship Tournament; to provide data for ranking teams going to the USAV National Championship Tournament. The point system awards one point for each game won against teams at the same or higher level (i.e., B or BB) opponent, including pool play and all playoffs. Two points are awarded for each game won against teams of a higher level (i.e., a B team defeats a BB team) or for each game won when playing in a designated higher-level pool (i.e., BB Gold vs. BB Silver). One extra point is awarded for placing first in pool and another point for winning the tournament. all results are then averaged. It is important to keep in mind that the rankings based on the point system are inherently imperfect, because they are based on the average of all results. Some teams have more or fewer results; rosters may vary from event-to-event; not all events have the same teams entered.
