NON-PLAYER REFEREE INFORMATION
Certification
Previously certified referees:
In order to officiate in IREVA you must
- Register with IREVA (this includes paying the registration fee).
- Pass a background screening (required only for referees planning on working Junior events) – you must contact the registrar and let him know that you are a referee in order to have the screening fee paid by the region.
- Take the online recertification clinic available here - Clinic
- Take the online referee exam – details can be found in the clinic
- Enter your availability in NOVA
- Attend a officials meeting (12/29 - Schalmont HS, 1/6 Orange County Community College, 1/27 Tioga Center). Register with Paul Vink-Lainas at vbpaul@spw.com.
- All referees must be certified as scorekeeper - Scorekeeper Certification

Rating Upgrades
The IREVA application for a ratings upgrade is February 1st. Please contact me for the application (refchair@ireva.org).
