IREVA JUNIOR REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
REGIONALS BID INFORMATION

Regionals held in April:
2010 April 24-25
2011 April 9-10
2012 April 21-22

2013 April 13-14 &/or April 20-21

Location : wherever the following can occur
1.a minimum of 20 courts and possibly more – in as close a proximity as possible to each other
2. a club [ or groups of clubs] willing to act as host for the event: duties to include but not be limited to the following:
A] arrange for and secure sites as needed for the event
b] Provide qualified site coordinators and assistants for each site: site coordinators and assistants must be registered USAV members and be background checked. Additionally site coordinators/ assistants cannot be coaching on the day they are fulfilling the job of site coordinator/ assistant.
c] Insure that each court is properly lined, and has proper equipment [referee stand, good nets, antennas etc]
d] Arrange for set up and take down of all equipment
e] Arrange for proper signage [ court signs, results posters,site signage]
f] Provide a tournament director who is registered and background checked, who is knowledgeable about volleyball and IREVA region rules and regulations. Tournament Director cannot be a coach at this event.
g] Work with referee assignor to engage referees, manage and organize rooms for referees, follow up with payments for referees.
h] Arrange for officials to be fed at each site
i] Arrange for an officials room at each site
j] arrange for certified trainers to be at as many sites as possible.
k] Work with Molten and the region to be sure that an ample supply of proper volleyballs are available at each site
l] Arrange for all score sheets to be set up and ready for each days event. Insure that scoresheets, rosters and reports to be given to the appropriate person in the proper timeline.
m] Arrange to upload all results into AES within 10 days of the event
n] Create and administer a budget for the event
o] Document and submit all expenses to IREVA for payment or reimbursement.
P] order appropriate trophys, medals, tee shirts for awards as needed.
q] Arrange with JIT’s for tournament tee shirts to be available at all sites or ordering of tee shirts to be available – JITs has been a long time supporter of IREVA Juniors volleyball and should be the company used for this event.

3.A host club [or clubs] may run a concession stand to benefit that club- assuming all of the above duties are accomplished.
4.Clubs wishing to host regionals must provide location, court status and administrative cadre by DECEMBER 1 in order to be able to host the event. Please provide in writing to the JO Chair. Should more than one group express an interest – the JO Chair and IREVA Commissioner will have the final authority to make the decision and will do so in a timely manner.
