JUNIORS HIGH PERFORMANCE CORNER

The IREVA High Performance [HP] program is part of USAV’s “Olympic Pipeline”, designed to identify and train players who have the potential to help advance the sport of volleyball in the US. See the USAV website for more information.

USAV holds HP Tryouts around the country to select participants for several levels / age groups of USAV HP Summer Camps held at various colleges around the country throughout the summer, for both boys and girls.

IREVA holds HP Tryouts to select participants; runs HP Summer Camps for several age groups; and may participate in the USAV HP Tournament. At this time, these IREVA programs are only available for girls, due to limited resources and limited boys membership numbers.

All girls are encouraged to participate in both the USAV and IREVA tryouts, if nothing else but for the experience of the competition and playing with new players and new coaches. Non-USAV members are welcome to all HP events, but must become members in order to participate. Players who are not selected for these HP events, or who are unable to participate, are encouraged to participate in other camps – see related page on the IREVA website.

2010 HP TRYOUTS

USAV HP Tryouts	USAV has posted the boys and girls High Performance program tryouts schedule and related information on the website at http://usavolleyball.org/pages/7196 Among the many tryouts locations: BOYS 1/30 - Buffalo, ny 2/19 - York, PAM GIRLS 3/12 & 14 - Saratoga Springs, NY 3/13 - Peekskill, NY All tryout registrations should be done through the USAV website. The deadline for pre-registration for the 3/12 and 14/09 tryouts at Skidmore College is tbd. Pre-registration is tbd; walk-up registration is tbd - plus membership fee if applicable. Questions can be directed to indoorhp@usav.org
IREVA HP Tryouts / Clinics	3/12 & 14/2010 - Skidmore College - this tryout will be run in conjunction with the USAV HP tryouts. PLAYERS AT THIS TRYOUT MUST SIGN UP FOR THE USAV TRYOUTS. See link at the top of this page for IREVA tryouts details. 3/21/10 – Clarkson University - see link at the top of this page for IREVA tryouts details. 4/23/2010 - WVTC - as in the past, this tryout will be run in coordination with the IREVA Girls Regional Championship Tournament.
